I recently crated a short video footage demonstrating a few scenes with two other colleagues. Using a pre made script we filmed it and afterward edited it. I felt that some of the camera shots along with the edited music placed onto it worked very well in which this case was the running scene. I also felt the phone scene worked well as the camera zoomed in onto the item with a background sound effect. I thought this provided great suspense and made the audience question what will happen next.
In order to improve for future projects I need to critical analyse the footage. I felt that some of the camera shots could of been better filmed such as the walking scene where the camera was fairly shaky. A possibly solution might be to use a stand with wheels or a suitable alternative. I felt that some of the lighting was poor as at times on the characters was covered in darkness. A possible solution to this might be to carefully choose filming location or use artificial lighting if possible. Some of the spoken dialogue seemed a bit quiet when compared to what we were looking for. Whether this was due to the camera used or the volume we were speaking at, this an area that we need to improve on. A solution would be to raise vocal volume. There were a few continuity errors such as the positioning of one tie in which went from being pulled down to the correct position for a tie. This may be down to the fact that we filmed on two separate days. A solution to this would be to view previous footage to see these small things.
